An Embarassment of Frangipannis

I thought I was over frangipannis till a client of mine arrived with a big bag of loose blooms for me. I filled 3 big glass bowls & was sensually delighted by the colour & frangrance that filled my home - it's wonderful, the pleasure that can come from simple things.

Goddess

I came up with this little sketch, playing with cast shaddows & think it will make an interesting basis for a painting. It's interesting how the goddess theme came up unconciously.

Night bather

This painting was inspired by my night swims at a local beach rockpool which have brought a new depth & richness to my life. I love the drama & beauty of the lights dancing on the water - just makes me happy & so at peace.
